Dance and Traditional Costumes
During the second year of the Bread Week, we hosted the art of dance. We collaborated with the Panorama Pontian Association, the Cultural Women’s Association of Pylaia “Kapoutzida,” and the Cultural Association “Kassandra,” organizing dance evenings with traditional costumes and music at venues in Pylaia and Kassandra, respectively.
In between, an open event on the customs and traditions of Pylaia was held, featuring the revival of local rituals. Members of “Kapoutzida,” dressed in their traditional attire, demonstrated, among other things, how to make the kefalodesmos (traditional headpiece), while singing local Pylaia songs.
The beneficiary of the initiative was the Hellenic Children’s Village in Filyro, which received a pellet donation for heating.
